How to play blues instruments for kids
A friend has been teaching her son how to play the blues for a couple of weeks now, and he’s had a blast.
The boy’s really good, he said, but he doesn’t know what a blues song is.
It’s hard to sing it, he’d like to know.
So the two of them have started jamming, which has made things easier.
The songs they’ve been playing are the same old songs you’d hear in the supermarket, but with a twist.
First they’ll be singing about how to do it with the bass guitar, and then, of course, they’ll have a bluesy tune about the drums.
The kids also learn a little about rhythm guitar, which they’ll play when they get older.
So far they’ve started with the classics and are looking forward to playing more.
