How to play a harp on your computer using a virtual instrument

By Paul Koeppe/AP A virtual harp is now an instrument on the Mac.
The Apple-owned company said Monday it is developing software to allow users to play virtual harps on their Macs.
The harp’s new software will allow users on Macs with the Mac OS X 10.8 “Tahoma” operating system to perform a variety of music on the harp.
The software also allows users to use the harps with other virtual instruments, such as electric pianos and other electronic devices.
Apple has previously made virtual instruments available to developers, but they are limited to iOS devices and only in iOS 9 and 10.
Apple said Monday that its virtual harping software will be made available to users in the Mac App Store.
Virtual instruments are not limited to music, either.
The company said in a blog post on Monday that virtual instruments can be used in movies and other media, and in video games.
Apple said virtual harpers can be downloaded from its Apple Music website.
