Texas Instruments has been fined $50,000 for illegally selling a guitar with a flute in a Texas Instruments store

A Texas Instruments customer service representative has been charged with illegally selling two instruments made for the same price at a Texas Instrument store in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
The instrument, called the Brass Family Instruments Flute, has a flutist-like sound and a flutter when you hold it in your mouth, according to the charge.
It was sold in a $50-a-day store on March 12.
The company said in a statement Monday that the instrument has been recalled and that it has received more than 2,000 complaints about the instrument.
The Texas Instruments spokesperson said that the company is “extremely sorry” for any harm caused by the unauthorized sale.
