What does the word ‘kora’ mean?

Associated Press reporters in Singapore say the word “kora” means “a young, female musician.”
They say the term originated in Japan and is related to the word koroban.
The name was first recorded in Japanese in the early 1900s.
The term “korobans” was first used in Japanese, and was later used in other languages.
The AP has not identified the source of the word.
We are looking into it.
We don’t know if the name comes from Japan, but there is evidence that it comes from elsewhere.
So it does seem that we have a bit of a problem with the term, because it sounds like a generic term, which isn’t exactly accurate, but we’re trying to find out if there is any evidence that this was actually a kora-like instrument.
